Current hair - Green on the top, blue on the bottom.
Hey yall, I've changed my previous hair colour to this blueish greenish hair. It took me about 4 hrs to achieve this hair colour. With the help of my aunt, she applied the bleach on my hair and I leave it on for 20 mins. The instructions stated was to leave the bleach on my hair for 45-55 mins but my hair was turning orangey blonde quite fast so I washed it off. Blow dried my hair and I mixed 1 tub of midnight blue and half tub of apple green into a mixing bowl. Left it on for 45 mins and I rinsed it off. Blow dried my hair and applied Diane argan oil for a finishing touch. I was trying to achieve a dark blue greenish hair colour. But it turned out that the crown of my head is green and the bottom is dark blue. Somehow or rather, the mixing went wrong. I should have buy alpine green instead of green apple. Nevertheless, I still love the colour of my hair. The inner layer of the back of my hair is black as I do not have enough dye to cover it. Hehe. All of my dyeing products are bought from Shopee. I will link it below.
Today, I would be sharing with you ladies the different types of hair removal products that are available in the market. Ranging from IPL, epilator, hair removal cream, waxing and shaving.. Intense pulsed light (IPL)
IPL uses a broad-spectrum light which transfer heat energy to the hair which causes the follicle to be damage. Treatment wise can be relatively long depending on how much hair you have on your body and pricing would definitely be more expensive. I ever went for an IPL consultation before as I want to remove my upper and lower limbs hair. However, the treatment plan offered was very expensive as my hair is naturally thick and long so my treatment would be much longer as compared to others. In the end, I opted for other hair removal options as I was young and broke at that time.
Epilator
I bought this Braun epilator since I was 17 years old at Courts for SGD69. Recently, the head of the epilator was cracked. So my bf gotten me a new one for replacement. I really like this epilator because it has an additional head piece which helps epilating to be more gentle and less painful. I only used this epilator for my leg hair. I only epilate my leg hair once every week, as the new hair grows really slowly and less coarse as compared to shaving. Just imagine it as a device with lots of tweezers which help to pluck the hairs. Epilator is my favourite hair removal product as for now!
Hair removal cream
The only brand of hair removal cream that I've tried is Veet. Its available at any pharmacy and its relatively affordable too. Application wise is very easy to use. However, what it does is that the chemical in the cream will burn the hair on the surface of the leg. Unlike the epilator, it doesn't remove the hair beneath the skin. Which is why after using the hair removal cream, some of us might feel itchy or might see redness on some parts of our legs/arms. The redness will go away within a day or two (depending on individual). For me, I don't really like to use the hair removal cream, because it does not remove all my leg hair entirely. But I did used it for maybe about 5 times when I was 16 yrs old? It's within my budget back then, so yeah.
Waxing
I've tried out Veet waxing strips before, it worked well. However, it is bloody painful especially when you have long leg hair like me. The after effect of seeing how clean your legs are and the hairs being stuck onto the waxing strips, its so therapeutic. It can be messy if you do it by yourself, so I usually go to the beauty salon near my place to do waxing. It will get less painful if you wax more often.
Shaving
Before I got to know any other types of hair removal products when I was still young, my go to option was shaving. So I used this Gilette venus hair razor to shave my leg hair. However, I will always need to shave after 3/4 days as the hair grows really fast and thick. It becomes a routine and it is so difficult to maintain. Sometimes, I might have some bumps and cuts on my legs which is quite annoying. Girls being girls, we just want to look good. Aint it?
Alright, these are all the different types of hair removal products that I have tried till now. So choose one option that would suit you the best! :D
Hello yall! Today I'm gonna share with you what I gotten for Christmas and the recent hauls that I've bought. For Christmas, I received a YSL cardholder from my brother. I have been wanting this for ages. Maybe I should write a review about it on my next blog post? I asked my boo to get me a new epilator for xmas because the head of my old epilator cracked. Last month, my clique and I went to JB. Both crystal and I bought the same spectacles. Totally loving it. Not only it is affordable, the spectacles design are made from Korea. Recently, I'm in love with any item that has a tweed design on it. Also, I decided to try out gelish nails for the first time. Hopefully it would last till CNY.
Happy New Year 2019 everybody! Did you guys managed to achieve any goals you made for last year? Well I did, only for 2 resolution. Hehe. Firstly, I told myself that I need to get a driving license by the end of 2018. I have been delaying my driving practice since 2015 due to work commitment. After failing for 3 times, I managed to pass it on the fourth attempt. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. So anyone who is in the same plight as me, do not give up! Second resolution that I achieved is to do well and pass my university exams. There was one period of time that I fell ill so badly that I could not sit for my exams and I could not even go to work. Also, I was fighting for a plagiarism case with UOS for 3 months. It was such a torturous process as they might fail me for my module despite I did well for my exam. Luckily my BF emailed a letter to them on my behalf and they did not fail me for the research module. By the end of 2018, I would like to thanks those people who had been through thick and thin with me. Especially my BF. Thank you for always been so supportive in everything I do. Be it study or work, you always tell me to strive for the best. You also taught me how to always stay calm in stressful situation and reflect on my wrongdoings when I lose my temper easily. You rarely get angry with me despite I kept chiding you all the time. You have seen me in my ugly phase and my crybaby moments, yet you still love me wholeheartedly. I hope you still stay by my side when the new year comes. I love you honey. Not forgetting my amazing friends, I'm thankful and blessed to have yall love and companionship. In the new year to come, I wish everyone great health and lots of happiness! Let's all work hard for year 2019! :D
Hello everybody, today I'm gonna share my favourite items/hauls for the month of November ranging from fashion to beauty products. Let's start off with fashion items first..
Zara Leather Tote Bag - SGD159
So I've been using this bag for about 3 months and I'm loving it as the bag space is super spacious. It is made up of 100% bovine leather thus the price is quite steep. Material wise the outer layer of the bag is soft but the inner layer is made up of "furry suede", I guess? That's the only thing that I disliked about the bag. As time passed, some of the "furry suede" would rubbed onto the items in my bag. I was watching one video of "HelloOctoberxo" channel and she was pairing this bag with her OOTW thus I decided to head to MBS Zara Outlet to cop it.
Copped this pair of checkered trousers during black Friday sales when I was out in town with my girls. Totally loving the material of it and it is super comfy. Best part of all, left 1 in stock which is my size.
The price I stated for the Factorie clothing was bought during their cyber monday sale. I'm in love with the Fila neon sweater. The original price is so bloody expensive so I'm happy I got it at an affordable price. Hehe. Both the shirts are sold out but I think you can buy them on Zalora website. The jumpsuit I bought was in black and yellow, but it was sold out on the Factorie website. So I linked the white and black colour instead. I bought 3 more other clothing but it doesnt fit despite is the correct sizing. I hope Factorie does something about it. The sizing is quite inconsistent for certain clothing. I wish Factorie has a free international shipping to SG with a minimum spending as I need to pay AUD20 for international shipping. /:
Nike Air Force 1 Sage - HK799 = SGD140.29
Recently my aunt went to Hong Kong, thus I asked her to get this Nike Air Force 1 Sage in Off White colour. The soles are thick which adds few cm to your height. I got a size up as Eur 39 (my usual size) is a little too tight if I wear thicker socks. The Nike store in SG is retailing for SGD159. So I got it at a pretty good deal.
First time trying this Aritaum Velvet Blush. I bought it from Qoo10 as it was having a group buy sale. I got it in no.2 and no.4 colour. The colour of the blush is pigmented and it gives off a natural radiant look.
My dad brought home this Petal Fresh brand shampoo and shower gel. I'm in love with the tea tree scent and benefits. I'm not sure where you can purchase it in SG. But it is available in Malaysia guardian when I googled it. So those who are going to JB, can try looking for this product.
Alright, that's all for my hauls in November. X'mas is coming soon and I have been hunting for gifts for my family and my clique secret santa exchange. Yet to receive my grade for my last paper and assignment. Hopefully all is well. Since today is my off day, I was busy clearing and organising my clothes in my wardrobe. Ive set aside some clothes to bring back to PR. Way too many clothes at GP house. I cant wait for Aunt Cecilia to put up the X'mas tree at home. :D
Hello guys! Its been 2 months since I've updated my blog. I was busy working on 3 of my university assignments last month. I was feeling way too stressed that my hormonal levels was imbalance which caused me to have an overactive sebum glands. There were 2 happy things that happened to me recently. First, I gotten my result for the recent exam I took and I scored a credit! The second thing is to see my favourite DJ Dannic last September! I was so thankful that Ireena was able to accompany me to see his set. It was such a great night because I was hella crunk till I embarrassed myself. /: I swear that Dannic and his manager are super duper ultra friendly and they really know how to give fan service even to those on the dance-floor. As for now, I'm busy working to earn more money to see my honey next year. I have an upcoming exam on the 19 November. I better start mugging.
Hello everyone! I wasn't sure what I should blog about today thus I decided to share with you ladies my August hauls instead. Since August is my birthday month, I've decided to splurge a little and get myself a new Alexander Wang prisma bag. I'm in love with this bag because there are 4 compartments to place my everyday stuffs in it. It can fit a small umbrella or a waterbottle in the middle compartment which is a bonus. Also, this bag matches with my Alexander Wang wallet because it belongs to the same prisma collection. I love the croc embossed design on the flap as it makes the bag look more classy and edgy. I spotted this bag on a fashion blogger instagram named Lian Galliard. I was on the hunt for it for ages and I've managed to cop it on Yoox website. There are many prisma bag in different sizes, luckily I copped the bigger size instead of the regular size.
My second happy purchase for the month of August is a new Delsey luggage exclusive from Macys. The colour of this luggage is Black cherry. There is a story behind getting this new luggage for myself. On the last day of my trip from Thailand, my cousin picked us up from the hotel to send my family to the airport. As there wasn't enough space in the boot, he tied our luggage on the top of his car. However, due to the hotel carpark ceiling was low, it hit the water pipes thus my luggage was badly dented at the bottom. I only noticed how badly dented my luggage was during the check in of our flight, but I thought I could fix it with heat when I come back to SG. When I looked at the front view of my luggage, there was a big crack on the surface and small holes on some part of the luggage. I was worried that my items in the luggage would come off considering how bad the condition of my luggage was. I was so furious and upset on the trip back because it was my fave 29 inch marble luggage from Typo. I was browsing through Macys and I decided to get a 29 inch Delsey luggage because my dad owned one of the luggage for ages and I've read good reviews about it. I cant wait to use it on my next overseas trip!
Since it was my birthday month, I've also splurged at Sephora. I decided to try out their Clinique moisturizer and toner because Tivya was raving about how good it was. I love how it makes my skin feels. Not only that, I gotten a free cosmetic pouch, 100mls Clinique cleanser and few samples of bubble mask and moisturizer. I've also stock up on sephora makeup remover, IT cosmetic mascara, sephora eyeliner and a tarte eyelash curler. That very day I spent about SGD190+ but I gotten so many free samples too. I told my babe about it and he was like dang, I didn know girls would spend so much on makeup and skincare. Hahaha. Time to save money as I spent so much during August. :p
